CNet is reporting that Apple intends to keep the “professional” in Final Cut Pro, despite persistent rumors to the contrary.  A response from  Apple spokesman Bill Evans says that despite reports to the contrary: “Final Cut Pro is the first choice for professional video editors, and we’ve never been more excited about its future.   The next version of Final Cut is going to be awesome, and our pro customers are going to love it.”  This response does not rule out a reworking of the flagship suite of professional applications and bring increased functionality and ease of use to the product.  Stay tuned.
